Satisfaction: 4/5
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 succeeds where last year’s Modern Warfare 3 fell short, it’s genuinely fun to play. The gameplay feels vastly improved, thanks to the new omni-movement system. This addition leans into the arcade-style feel of the game, making movement much more fluid and enjoyable.
However, the game is not without issues. Some weapon challenges feel overly tedious and really make you grind. Matchmaking can also be hit-or-miss; I’ve encountered lobbies with high ping or severe packet loss, forcing me to disconnect and try again.
Tech: 4/5
On the technical side, Black Ops 6 performs quite well, particularly compared to previous titles. It runs smoothly and is noticeably more stable than Modern Warfare 2 (2022). The inclusion of modern features like upscaling and frame generation from AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel is a welcome touch. Although, I would avoid using any frame generation in multiplayer since this can increase input latency.
Performance overall is solid, but occasional stutters disrupt the experience. While not game-breaking, these moments are less than ideal for a fast-paced shooter. Stability-wise, I’ve only encountered a handful of crashes, which is a step up from prior titles.
Atmosphere: 3.5/5
Black Ops 6 is easily one of the best looking Call of Duty games to be released. Everything from the maps, to the guns, to the player models looks excellent, even if the fidelity isn’t as high as previous titles like Modern Warfare (2019).
The game’s overall style is engaging, but the operator skins leave much to be desired. Some, like the zombie operators, Adler and Park’s futuristic attire, and the recent addition of a shark-man skin, feel out of place. Beyond breaking immersion, these skins can make it harder to distinguish between teammates and enemies, which is frustrating in a competitive setting.

Replayability: 5/5
Replayability is where Call of Duty shines, and Black Ops 6 is no exception. It’s easy to hop in for a few matches, and while matchmaking can occasionally feel sweaty, it rarely detracts from the fun.
The reintroduction of a classic prestige system is a major highlight. It offers players meaningful progression and rewards in the form of cosmetics, adding another layer of incentive to keep playing.
Final Score: 4/5
Pros:
- Fluid and enjoyable gameplay
- Great graphics with solid performance
- Excellent soundtrack
- Rewarding progression system
Cons:
- Out-of-place operator skins
- Random stutters and network issues
